Samarth S Korde, Grade 5, Himalaya.

He has successfully established himself as a budding YouTuber, consistently creating, engaging with informative content that resonates with a wide audience. Through his YouTube channel, Smartsam13 (https://youtube.com/@SmartSam13), he has been showcasing his creative and presentation skills since a young age. He has remarkably more than 47k subscribers already and is marching towards a feat of achieving a milestone of 50k subscribers.

Samarth is an avid Cuber who has demonstrated very good dedication in mastering the talent of solving a variety of complex Rubik’s Cube puzzles. He can solve 3×3, 2×2, Pyraminx, Skewb cubes, etc in a minute. This exceptional problem-solving skill of his has earned him good recognition within his school friend circle, teachers and the broader community outside. He has also participated in some of the cube community competitions and has got certificates.

Open Karate Championship-2023

Nishanth M S of Grade II Camel participated in the State Level Open Karate Championship-2023 organised by Goju-Ryu Karate Do- Academy, India in association with Team VLMAA Karate Do-Training School, Mandya and Vishnu Lions Martial Arts Association Held at Mandya on 6th August 2023 and he has secured First place in Kata
Third place in Kumite.

Shashank Keshav Rao emerged as best beyond borders

WTT Youth Contender Almaty, Kazakhstan

With his first-ever bronze medal in the under 13 boys division of an international table tennis competition held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, between July 25 and 28, Shashank has made our city Mysuru and our school Kautilya Vidyalaya proud. All the best to him in all his endeavours.

Wipro Earthian award - 2022

Education is not only about inculcating the goal of scoring marks in students. The goal of education is to raise awareness and concern for the environment around us. In this regard, every year on behalf of Wipro Limited, students are invited to compete on projects related to the environment at the national level.

In the year 2022, 1200 schools across the country participated in this competition and a total of 40 projects were selected for the final round. Among them, the projects of 20 schools were announced as winners at the national level and awarded at a ceremony held in Bengaluru on the eleventh of this month. Students of Kautilya Vidyalaya, Mysore, were selected for the national level for their project on water conservation and have earned the school the title of ‘Wipro Earthian School’.
 
Students Shobhita KR, Utpala Jagadeesh, Atharva Sinha, Aditya M Patil, and Yashas S, who took up the project under the guidance of Ms. Ushamani, senior teacher of the school, are the winners of this award. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 50000. The winning students and teachers were felicitated by Mr.T.Babu, the school Chairman, and Ms. Sashikala V.R., the Principal. 
 
Kautilya Vidyalaya has won the Wipro Earthian Award for the second time in a row. In the previous year too, students of Kautilya Vidyalaya had submitted a project under the guidance of Ms. Roopa C.R. and were shortlisted as winners. Three projects were submitted by Kautilya students for the competition this year. While one group was awarded as winner, the other two groups that worked under the guidance of Ms. Roopa C.R. and Ms. Sushma Varanasi were also recognized as the runners-up.

Mysore: Kautilya Vidyalaya emerged as one of the prestigious award winners for Wipro earthian awards for sustainability efforts of students. Over 55,000 schools and colleges, 1,30,000 students and 13,000 teachers from across the country were part of the programme. Ten schools and eight colleges were selected for the annual Wipro earthian awards for 2019, which were presented on Saturday 08.02.2020.

Anurag Behar, chief sustainability officer, Wipro, said the programme brings together the themes of sustainability and education in meaningful ways. “The programme helps stimulate curiosity and interest in young minds in critical areas of sustainability. This edition involved outreach to schools and colleges across 29 States and three Union Territories, including remote locations such as Ladakh, Sunderbans, Majuli island, Little Rann of Kutch, and the Nicobar Islands,” he said.

The teams selected from schools had to demonstrate their understanding of biodiversity, waste and water through a combination of activity-based learning programmes and essays.

Students of Kautilya Vidyalaya to win this prestigious award are Shreya Krishnan, Anirudh Krishna, Amogh Bharadwaj, Debanghshree Chakraborthy and Chidatma Chagant from the high school. They worked with pourakarmikas in Mysuru and various agencies and NGOs working on waste management and helped create awareness about segregation at source and the ban on using plastic. Based on the experience they say that there needs to be a change in people’s behaviour to reduce and reuse waste. The students were mentored by teachers: Ms.Roopa, Ms.Krishna, Ms.Nivedita and Mr.Paul. The award was presented by none other than Mr.Rishad Premji s/o Mr.Azim Premji.
